Santa gave Hailey a Beta Fish Kit for Christmas so today we went to the mall to find a fish.

She took her new fish to see, "Alvin and the Chipmunks". The movie was dubbed in Spanish. Those chipmunks spoke so fast that I couldn't keep up!! Just when I thought Hailey wasn't understanding, she looked at me and said, "That's not his mom on the phone." What do you know, even Hailey understands more than I do.

Finally, my torture is over. I have successfully completed Anatomy I and Anatomy II. Now on to Micro.

Friday night, we had the office Christmas party at our house but I was an idiot and deleted the pictures. Kevin even set the microwave on fire :o)!

Last night we went to see the Children's Museum.

Nothing spectacular but nice for Costa Rica.

Tonight, we invited Marlo and Susy over for dinner. It is so hard because they don't speak any English but they are such nice people. Next week Susy is going to help me with my Spanish. YEAH!

Hailey made this candle at school. She went to the eye doctor last week and he wants her to patch her eye for another 3 months. Luckily, Hailey is so easy going that she doesn't fight it.

Being born and raised in Arizona, this amazes me....

This is a candle that Hailey made in school. It only took 4 days for the mold to grow and we are in the dry season.. Correction, Jen told me that this wasn't a candle. It was some kind of jelly that the kids were supposed to eat. Oops!

Pefi!

Last week, Jen, Andrea, and I, dropped the kids off at Preschool and then we headed over to Pefi's farm (a local artist). Rob went too :o)!

At 7:05am, Hailey turned 5! We are having her party today after school. Hailey is our shy girl that didn't even want a party but I talked her into having a few friends from school. It is amazing how different our girls are. Lauren would invite everyone in Costa Rica if she could!

2 hours old

Now for some sad news, my 92 year old Grandpa fell on Friday and broke 2 cervical vertebrae in his neck. Since he is 92, they can't do surgery so we just have to wait and see. GET WELL SOON GRANDPA-GREAT GRANDPA!!!

Here is Lauren's last school art project. After Friday, Lauren is out of school until February 4th. I'm still having a hard time with this "summer break" in the middle of December.

On Saturday we have a Christmas party where the host is collecting gifts for the children at El Hospital Nacional de Niños.

She knows how to get her job done :o)! The girls just love her and I love having her around so I can study, study, and study. Hailey is out of school for the week and then on Monday, she starts "summer school" for three weeks. I only have 4 more weeks of Anatomy and boy am I ready to give up!

Everyone had a ton of fun and the kids did really well together. Tomorrow morning at 6am, we have to drop them off at the airport and then I have 700 pictures to sort through so I will post a bunch tomorrow or Monday. I'm really behind with my Anatomy homework so it might take longer.

Lauren went out with Kevin & Rob and they were lucky enough to see a whale do a flip. Lauren came back screaming, "Mom, Mom, Mom, I saw a whale and it was HUGE. It did a back flip!!"

Only 3 more hours and Kim, Rob, and Megan will be here! I'm sad that Zach can't make because he is sick. The guard and the maid are taking care of our dog and condo while we are away. We found these things on the side of the road while on our way to our friends house.

Yesterday we just stayed home and relaxed. Little did I know that Hailey would be so entertained by this $6 bundle of stinky mystery material. Her reindeer is sporting Barbie lipstick and eyeshadow.

I can't believe my sister, brother-in-law and their 2 kids will be here in less than a week!!! Don't forget to pack lightweight rain jackets because we are at the end of the rainy season.

Andrea and I found some kittens so we took them to the vet.

They were so sweet. The 3 on the bottom are the ones we found and the 2 on the top came in on the same day. Hailey named one and wanted to bring it home.

Mary and I are off for a girls weekend (well with baby) to a resort over by her house! I love my family but I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
